It’s been a year…a year of heartbreak and unbearable pain.
On October 7, 2023, more than 1,200 men, women, and children were brutally murdered and kidnapped by Hamas. The devastating loss is seared into our collective memories.
On top of that pain and loss, there’s the agony of knowing that many hostages are still waiting to come home. We must keep their faces, their names, and their stories alive, as well as the stories of those who have died to keep the Jewish state safe.
It’s been 365 days since the horrific attack on Israel, and we won’t stop advocating and praying — on campus, in our communities, and online.
Hillel at DU and Auraria invite you to join us for a commemoration and remembrance event on Sunday, October 6, at 5 PM at DU Hillel.
We will hold a ceremony to honor the victims of October 7 and stand united as a community. After the ceremony, participants are welcome to engage in various commemorative activities, including a Q&A conversation, grief processing, artistic expression, and more.
