Join us for an inspiring evening with Ashager Araro, an Israeli-Ethiopian activist, as she discusses the intersectionality of being a Jewish, Black woman and shares the rich history of Ethiopian Jews. This event will be a meaningful way to celebrate Black History Month while deepening our understanding of Jewish identity and diversity.
The event will be followed by a short Friday night service and a Shabbat dinner, where you’ll have the chance to reflect on Ashager’s words and connect with others in our community.
This event is open to all students, faculty, and community members. To ensure we can plan accordingly, please sign up for the event and, if you’d like to join us for Shabbat dinner, be sure to sign up for that as well.
