Join The DU Green Team!

DU is putting together a Green Team to help make the community more sustainable.

The new DU Director of Jewish Student Life – Lily Gross – is an earth nerd. Over the summer, she spent every day working away at an urban farm – EKAR Farm – and wants to bring her love of the earth to her new role as a leader for the DU students. As a past DU student as well, she remembers the days dreaming of how to make real change towards a more sustainable DU and want to help students find that opportunity today. So to fulfill her and other students dreams, she is putting together a Green Team that will meet monthly in order to learn, discuss, and take action on ways to make our world a better place. In order to make these sometime costly plans come into fruition, Hillel will be in collaboration with EKAR Farm in the hope that we can receive the Seal of Sustainability for the second year in a row.

If you are interested in making the world a greener place, you should apply to be a part of the team!! You can find the application here to be a part of the DU Hillel Green Team! Not only will there be opportunity to learn and lead but there will also be financial compensation for your time and energy as a part of this team. I hope you get in and help make DU Hillel a more sustainable community. If you have any extra questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to Lily@hillelcolorado.org.
