Executive Director's May Message
Much of what you've read lately from Hillel of Colorado concerns campus unrest, anti-Zionism, and our continued work supporting Jewish students.

Welcome to CSU!
CSU Hillel strives to be the "home away from home" for students. We host programming every Tuesday and Friday. On Tuesdays come enjoy some social, educational, service, or wellness events, always with food! On Friday expect a hot Shabbat meal home cooked by our student chef at the Hillel house! Our Hillel House is open to all who want to make it their home and connect to Jewish life in any way that fits them. Connect with our Director, Scott for a tour of our space! CSU Hillel is open to people of all identities; be it faith, sexual orientation, gender, ethnicity, political affiliation, or background. Hillel is an affirming space for all of our LGBTQ+ friends.
Students participating in a learning session
Learning and Education
Each semester, CSU Hillel hosts a cohort learning series where students gather weekly on Sundays for a home cooked brunch from one of our educators and a discussion based class to enrich your Jewish journey! Whether it is Zionism and Israel, Sex Love and Romance, or answering some of Life's Big Questions, you will have the opportunity to engage in deeper Jewish learning during your time in school with Hillel. Classes are free and some might even include a stipend! Spots are limited, applications can be found in our Instagram bio, or by speaking to our Campus Director, Scott! Food is provided for each session, and there is NO HOMEWORK!
Holiday celebrations at CSU Hillel
Holiday Celebrations
CSU Hillel is your one-stop shop to celebrate the many special holidays throughout the year. Rosh Hashanah apples and honey? We got that. Hanukkah? We'll have a Dreidel game night. Passover? We'll put on a delicious chocolate Seder.

Connecting to our CSU faith communities
CSU Hillel is an integral part of the Interfaith Communities of Fort Collins and Northern Colorado: we host an annual interfaith seder; participate in Food for Thought; and welcome ALL students interested in learning about Jewish life to our weekly programming and Shabbat dinners.
A Note from Scott Gerstel
CSU Campus Director

Scott has been the Campus Director at CSU since Fall 2024. Originally from Boca Raton, Scott is fully taking advantage of the beautiful scenery Northern Colorado has to offer. … and yes, Diana and I baked that challah from scratch!
