Hillel of Colorado Sends 20 Students on Birthright

This summer, more students than ever before joined Hillel of Colorado on a meaning-filled Birthright Israel trip. Twenty students from our Colorado campuses traveled together to Israel for the experience of a lifetime.
The Journey
For ten transformative days, our students explored the land of Israel — from the ancient streets of Jerusalem to the shores of the Dead Sea, from the bustling markets of Tel Aviv to the quiet beauty of the Galilee. They hiked Masada at sunrise, floated in the Dead Sea, and celebrated Shabbat together in ways they'll never forget.
More Than a Trip
Birthright with Hillel of Colorado is more than a sightseeing trip — it's a journey of identity, connection, and growth. Students formed deep bonds with one another and with their Israeli peers. They engaged with Israel's complexity — its beauty and its challenges — in honest, nuanced conversations facilitated by our experienced trip leaders.
Student Voices
"Before Birthright, I knew I was Jewish, but I didn't really feel it," one student shared. "This trip changed everything. I came back with a deeper connection to my identity, my community, and my heritage."
Another student reflected: "The friendships I made on this trip — with other Colorado students and with our Israeli soldiers — are friendships that will last a lifetime."
