Last Shabbat and This Shabbat

It was good to be back at Hillel last Friday night and see so many faces! We had about 30 students join us for dinner and one future Ram and her father who came all the way from Florida.

We hadn’t had a Shabbat dinner for a while and it felt good that we could jump back to right where we left off. We had a bunch of pasta that had a sauce for everyone. For the adventurous there was a butternut squash sauce, for the non-adventurous there was red sauce, and for the basic we had buttered pasta.

This Friday, Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi, the Jewish sorority on campus, will be co-hosting Shabbat at Hillel. On the menu is salmon, kugel, beets, and fruit and vegetable salads. Because it was such a hit last week, we will be having babka again for dessert!

As usual, services will be at 6:30 p.m. and dinner will follow at 7 p.m. Please don’t forget to RSVP on our Facebook page!

We are also starting a canned food drive at Hillel on Sunday, April 2nd, so if you have any cans you won’t be using or want to start clearing out your pantries for Passover, please to bring them with you to Shabbat!
