Being a part of the Hillel Shabbat Planning board has been a really wonderful experience. For Sukkot I helped create a farm-to-table Shabbat experience. Being able to integrate my interest in environmental issues with Jewish values and ritual has been especially meaningful to me. Taking on leadership responsibilities at Hillel has helped me grow and become more confident.

When I was growing up there were never many Jewish kids in my school. I spent time with my Jewish friends once a year at summer camp. Now that I have Hillel I have a deeper connection to my Jewishness every day.
